United Kingdom media outlet Telegraph reported that UK regulators still have 18 open cases in connection with cryptocurrency dealing companies. The FCA is working over concern for the integrity of financial markets. According to the Telegraph, the Financial Conduct Authority, FCA, opened inquiries into 67 firms related to cryptocurrency business in 2018 to November 12. From the 67, 18 are still open. The FCA refused to talk about the proceedings, since all 18 investigations are still in process. However, it provided information under a Freedom of Information Act (FOI) request from Telegraph. Regulators are increasing its inquiries and watch over cryptocurrencies as they are concerned about the problems that Bitcoin and other altcoins may cause to the integrity of financial markets.
