Norway-based major web browser Opera announced that its customers located in Norway, Sweden and Denmark will be able to buy Ethereum directly in its Android browser, according to a press release published by the company. Following a partnership with Sweden-based cryptocurrency brokerage firm Safello, Opera developed an integration solution that "will now let people easily buy cryptocurrencies on their mobile phones." According to the press release, users will be able to go from zero to crypto in less than a minute. "Safello’s solution verifies users’ identities securely and seamlessly with BankID and NemID. Users also enjoy the convenience of payments with credit and debit cards and transfers over trusted payment networks, such as Swish in Sweden." "We think that the next important phase for crypto will come from usage and that for it to reach wider adoption, it has to be easy to buy and easy to use," Charles Hamel, Product Lead for Crypto at Opera. "We believe that the browser will be the entry point for these use cases. Thanks to our partnership with Safello, we are taking one more step towards this vision," Hamel added. Back in December 2018, Opera introduced the first "blockchain-enable browser" with a built-in crypto wallet and App explores in its Android version.
