Christine Sandler is to become the Head of Sales and Marketing for Fidelity Digital Assets, an institutional provider of custody and trade execution services for digital assets. Sandler was formerly employed at exchange platform, Coinbase, where she served a similar role as the US Head of Sales. Her CV extends much further than this though and she was already Head of Equity Electronic Sales at the well-known investment bank, Barclays and as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Sales for NYSE Euronext. Alongside this, she previously served as Head of Electronic Sales at Merrill Lynch, as well as working as a buy-side trader. With this in mind, she is somewhat of a sales powerhouse, who is a shoo-in for the new position. So it seems like Fidelity Digital Assets gain definitely will be a big loss to the Coinbase team. Tom Jessop, President of Fidelity Digital Assets, stated he was “excited” about recruiting her to their platform, which focuses on securing, trading and supporting digital assets, such as bitcoin. He explained. “We look forward to her leadership in support of the strong interest we’re seeing from investors who are looking for a trusted provider to take an increasing role in this market.” As well as her experience in sales, she also has a humanitarian edge to her. She is an advocate for women’s leadership and co-founded the Women’s Leadership Action Network and serves as a trustee for two public charter schools serving autistic students.
