Following two hacks within a year, Bithumb has announced more bad news, they made a massive loss in 2018. A few weeks ago, less than a year after a hack worth $30 million, Bithumb suffered another. This one was slightly less than the previous. However, it still saw them lose a very substantial $13 million in assets. This, they claimed, was down to an insider, and no users’ assets were said to have been stolen. However, two hacks in a year don't bode well for the Korean firm’s image. Today, it seems that was the least of their internal problems. This follows the announcement of the results of an external audit conducted on their organisation which revealed a $180 million loss during the course of 2018. We don't know what’s next for Bithumb but their future is looking very dubious right now.
